With less than a month to go Nintendo releases complete Mario Kart Wii details. Mario Kart Wii will be released on April 27th 2008. The game is for 1-4 players offline and up to twelve players online. It will also ship with a Wii wheel. Mario Kart Wii will support the Wii remote and Wheel, the nanchuk, classic controller and the gamecube controller. however the gamecube controller and classic controller are gimped.

Not only can you race with Nintendo’s cast of characters but you can also race with your Mii. Nintendo states that the crowds on certain tracks will contain other Mii characters.1-4 players can compete head to head offline. 1-2 players can compete on all tracks and modes of play with up to 11 online opponents. Players will be able to log onto the Mario Kart Channel to compete in tournaments and to check rankings, and download other players ghost data.

There will be a tracks from all past Mario Karts. Including Super Mario Kart™, Mario Kart® 64, Mario Kart®: Super Circuit™, Mario Kart®: Double Dash!!™ and Mario Kart® DS. Not only will be able to use the standard Karts to race your opponents but motorcycles will be available this time around as well.
Tracks and characters become unlocked by placing first in the Gran Prix races and clearing skill-based missions
